Stanford Live: Culturally Responsive Pedagogy and the Arts Conference

The arts are especially effective for cultivating learning that is informed by students’ cultural backgrounds. This day of hands-on workshops and talks is designed for teachers, administrators, teaching artists, and anyone interested in this powerful pedagogical approach. Presenters include Grammy-nominated children’s hip-hop artists, Alphabet Rockers, and Armando Castellano, a leading advocate for diversity in classical music. Co-sponsored by the Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP) in the Stanford Graduate School of Education. The conference will be held in the Bing Concert Hall Studio.
